Your wedding ceremony will be personal and filled with love, warmth and joy, according to your wishes.
I can provide you with support and guidance to create the ceremony of your choice.
Your ceremony belongs to you, the couple who are planning the future together.
A special day you will remember for the rest of your lives.

First things first…

Notice Of Intended Marriage Form ( the NOIM )

Section 42 of the Australian Federal Government Marriage Act 1961 requires that a marriage shall not be solemnized unless a notice in writing is completed, therefore a Notice of Intended Marriage needs to be completed. This form must be lodged with your celebrant ‘not less than one month’ and ‘not more than 18 months before your ceremony.’ I will provide this form and we can complete it together.

Proof of identity must be provided to the Celebrant. If you were born in Australia you will need to provide your Birth Certificate/Extract as proof of your identity.

If you were born outside Australia you will also need to provide your Birth Certificate/Extract from your country of origin. If you were born outside Australia and you ‘legitimately’ cannot obtain your Birth Certificate, you will need to lodge a Statutory Declaration and provide a secondary form of identification, such as your passport.

If you have been married before you will also need to provide either your certificate of Divorce or the Certificate of Death of your former spouse.

The Ceremony

The words in the ceremony will reflect your relationship, both now and into the future. I encourage you to write your own vows, as this will ensure that they are unique to you. It is your opportunity to share your feelings and to pledge your love for each other. Your words are an important public declaration of your commitment to share the rest of your lives together. I will help and guide you with these.

I also encourage a special reading or two to be included that may be read by a friend or family member. Other inclusions can be rituals or symbols that help and support your unique ceremony and personalities. I can share with you my collection of examples and ideas.

Remember this ceremony belongs to you both.

Please contact me if you would like to know more about how we can work together.
